**2007/08 DANCE CLASSES**
YOUTH DIVISION	INTERMEDIATE	ADVANCED	ELECTIVES
Tiny Toes Creative Dance for Itty Bitty Dancers Toddler: A fun first dance class for ages 2 and 3! Little dancers will wiggle, jiggle, and jump to the music and have a blast! This class is timed and designed perfectly for our littlest dancers with fun toddler music.	Ballet/Lyrical, Levels 3 - 4 Beginner and Middle Intermediate: A combination of Ballet and Lyrical dance for the dancer working towards higher level skills and combinations. Developing skill base.	Ballet/Lyrical 6 - 8 Beginner, Middle & Upper Advanced: A combination of Ballet and Lyrical dance for the serious dancer developing and increasing higher level skills and combinations. Strong skill base.	Tap Skill Drill Beginner & Intermediate. A skill builder where students reinforce learned skills as well as increase tap progressions each week. Quality tap shoes a must!
Les Petites Pre-School: A Primary Ballet, Primary Jazz, and Creative Dance class for ages 3.5 through pre-K 5. Innovative techniques are used to teach dance in fun ways little people love!	Ballet/Lyrical Levels 5 - 6 Upper Intermediate/Beginner Advanced: A combination of Ballet and Lyrical dance for the dancer developing higher level skills and combinations. Dancer is developing a stronger skill base.	Pointe, Levels 6 - 8 Intermediate/Advanced: Pointe class is for female dancers age 13 and older with extensive training, proper placement and alignment. Optional field trips.	Adult Ballet Stretch & Jazz Beginner & Intermediate: Ballet Stretch and Jazz starts each class with a slow, gentle stretching warm up and moves into a lively, fun combination of hot new Dance Workouts and Jazz Dance. No pressure here! It's all fun!
Primary Ballet with Tap & Jazz combo Beginner: A combination of Ballet, Tap, and Jazz for age K5 and up. The first half hour of class is always ballet. A first formal dance class using innovative techniques to teach classical and creative dance styles.	Pre-Pointe, Levels 3 - 4 Pre-Pointe class is for female dancers age 10 or 11 and older with extensive training, proper placement, turn out, and alignment. Most dancers are not ready until at least age 12. Preparation for Beginner Pointe level. Optional field trips.	Pas de Deux (Partnering) Advanced: Partnering is for female and male dancers with extensive training as well as maturity. Beginner classes or workshops are occasionally offered.	Modern/Interpretive Dance A class for students who are willing to stretch their emotional and physical connection to music, poetry, and art as a part of interpreting the music into expressive moves. Must be open to having fun with exciting and unusual moves!
Ballet, Levels 1 - 3 Middle/Upper Beginner: Focus on strong basics at the barre and center. Increasing skills and flexibility, strength, musicality, and fun with dance expression. Intermediate level skills are explored as dancers increase their ability level.	Junior Hip-Hop Jazz, Levels 3+ Beginner, Middle and Upper Intermediate: Modern and Jazz dance. Moderate skill levels at leaps and turns required for placement. Developing skill base, speed, height, and flexibility. You've gotta have attitude for this class!	Hip Hop Jazz/Modern, Advanced Beginner, Middle & Upper Advanced: Modern/Jazz/Hip Hop/Street dance. Increasing skill base, speed, and height. Already has a strong skill level and ability to quickly learn higher level combinations. Ultimate attitude!	Dance Storytelling/Ballet Mime Dramatics A class focused on the interpretation of fairy tales and dance stories through the use of ballet mime, facial expression, and interpretive dance to tell the story. A dramatic and fun class that helps to increase expressiveness in dance.
Bounce & Bop (ages 4-6) and Jump & Jazz (age 7+) Beginner Levels: Fun jazz & tumbling geared towards our youth to intermediate dancers focusing on kids pop music styles and great new jazz and street moves. Get funky!	Technique Skill Improvement A technique class for increasing skills that lead to upper level specialized dance moves. Recommended for Levels 3+ (Level 2 by recommendation only)	Advanced Training by Appointment Intermediate and Advanced students may be offered training in additional dance styles or for additional choreography pieces on a by-appointment basis.	Workshops Workshops or out-of-claass dance study may be offered to students when available. This includes studying cultural/ethnic dance styles and viewing or participating in the work of other artists.
Boys Funky Jazz & Tap, Levels 2 - 3 Beginner/Middle Beginner: A combination of funky Tap and Jazz. No tights for these guys! Boys are welcome in any of our classes.	Beginner Pointe, Levels 4 - 6 Beginner Pointe class is for female dancers age 10 or 11 and older with extensive training, proper placement, turn out, alignment, and strength. Optional field trips.	Private Classes Private classes may be arranged by appointment or on a regular schedule for students trying to increase their skill level, highly motivated students, or those working on a solo, duet, or small group dance.	Field Trips Progressive students may be offered optional field trips to dance, musical or theatrical performances. See the Dance News page for dates and times.
